Meet Our Team

Tammy Martin

Founder/President

With 30+ years of experience in working with children and families, I serve as a Child Welfare Specialist II with IDCFS (ILO/TLP) Monitor for ages 17-21. My focus is to help others see their potential, reach their goals, and improve their lives for the better. As a mother, I saw a need to address bullying and be a positive role model. Founder and President of Grace Sister to Sister, a nonprofit operating under a 501c3 I am dedicated to making a positive impact.

Renyia Martin

Secretary

Renyia Martin has been an employee at the University of Chicago for nearly 16 years.  She has come across many people from all walks of life.  As a Bronzeville native, she has seen the community change.  Renyia believes that your surroundings do not have to dictate your future.  Her favorite quote from Martin Luther King, Jr is “Faith is taking the first step, even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” This is important because sometimes we have to have the courage to make a change in the world.  Renyia enjoys giving back and is on a mission to continue helping those in need.

Evelyn Austin

Treasurer

I am a retired State of Illinois employee. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Social Work.  I was raised on the Southside of Chicago. However, I have resided on the Westside in the Austin area as well as in the South Suburb.  For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for working with children. Prior to working for the Department of Children and  Family Services for 26 years.  I was employed as a Mental Health Counselor working  with adolescents. I believe in the mission of Grace Sister 2 Sister and support its vision.
